I see a lot of people who walk as well as myself, and it has gotten harder to cross Hwy 73 from Jon Brown Drive over to Hwy 289 do to traffic. It would be helpful if a crosswalk was added here. It would also maybe help to put up a speed limit flashing sign as drivers are coming into town from the South to notify them how fast they are actually going. The speed limit is 40 before the area I am concerned with, but it seems from my experience, many drivers are exceeding this limit until they pass this area. I have had to jog across Hwy 73 to make sure I get across as cars come so fast and are not slowing down when there is someone walking across. Scary

The state of MN, through the SNOW ANGEL BILL has allocated funds for communities to develop NORDIC SKIING facilities. I live in the area and feel Moose Lake would benefit significantly from developing cross-country ski trails in the city limits which would bring in tourism dollars in the winter. There are not too many ski trails in the area, but there are a lot of skiers.

I have encountered a great number of people within the community that have expressed a great desire for the city of ML to have a dog park. It is already such a close and friendly community, this would be an amazing addition. Anyone can contest that there are constantly people out walking their dogs within the community and many overtly state the desire for a central location to bring their pets to socialize. I personally have walked my dog, encountered numerous others with their pets and we allow them to play near the boat launch, in the small section of the park, but we are unable to take them off their leashes because there is not an enclosed safe space. I think if the city could find a location (perhaps apart of the wooded area by the boat launch/ next to the park) it would be a very widely supported project.

There needs to be more lighting along 7th Street as it goes towards the hwy. It's very dark at night.
